  • Kuldhara Village – A desolated village known as Kuldhara is situated in the city of Jaisalmer in the state of Rajasthan. The existence of this village dates back to 13th Century and it was believed to be the place of habitation for Paliwal Brahmins who were a prosperous community of their times.
    The Government of Rajasthan has made consistent efforts to develop this village as tourist site since the year 2010 whereas since the time of its abandonment Kuldhara is known as a haunted and eerie site amongst the locals and visitors.
    An old belief is attached to the village of Kuldhara that while the place was being deserted the community of Paliwals used black magic and cursed the village that it would not be able to re-occupied again.
