Osian is located at a distance of around 65-70 kms from the main city of Jodhpur. It is a prominent place amongst tourists and is known for sand dunes and camel safari. This place is commonly visited by people for spending a night in deserts and enjoying the view of stars. One can have an amazing experience of star gazing at this place and also one of the best sunrises and sunset can be viewed at this desert. Sachiya Mata Temple – This historical temple is located at a distance of around 65 km from the heart of the city of Jodhpur at Osian (Osiyan) which is popularly known as the ‘Khajuraho of Rajasthan’. Some of the most beautiful and important shrines of Hindu and Jain religion are situated at Osian. Sachiya Mata temple is one of those temples which is dedicated to Lord Mahavira and is known for its intricate architectural style and historical significance.
Jain Mahavira Temple – The Jain Mahavira Temple located in Osian is believed to be one of the oldest temples of the country. The temple is dedicated to the last Jain Prophet and the completion of construction of the main temple dates back to 775 A.D.
